TANKA
Popcorn
By Bryan
Popcorn is yummy
Smells like a slice of blue cheese.
It tastes so lovely.
Can’t stop myself, eating it!
Then I notice, it vanishes.

TANKA
Popcorn
By Guilhem Year 5
Popcorn smells divine
It shouts angrily, “Pop, pop, pop!”
Because of the heat.
Melts beautifully in my mouth
Best, eaten by the handful.

POPCORN HAIKU
We made some popcorn and then wrote about popcorn, in the Japanese poem style of HAIKU.
This means the first line must have 5 syllables, the second line 7 and the last 5.
We hope you enjoy them.

Very hot popcorn.
When it cools, I eat it fast.
Now in my stomach.                    By Kenny

Objects, Rooms and Activities in The House.

Here is a three-storey house with two bedrooms, a bathroom and laundry, a lounge or sitting room, a kitchen, a dining room. There is a front door, a chimney and some stairs too.

We need to learn the names of these household objects and also the names of the rooms of the house. If we can do this well, we can start talking about where we find them and what we do in the rooms or with the objects.

Turn these cards over and you will see the name of the object, on the other side.

What do you think about these quotes?

“In language learning, it is attitude, not aptitude, that determines success.” -Steve Kaufmann

“Excellence is never an accident. It is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, and intelligent execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives. Choice, not chance, determines your destiny.” -Aristotle

We have made some dancing skeletons. We are learning the names of different parts of the body.

Year One students.

Do you like the way our skeletons are moving?

Which one might be dancing,  jumping,  running, waving?

Can you see our elbows, wrists, ankles, knees, shoulders,  hips, shoulders and skulls?

Spelling Games are so much fun!

These year 4 and 5 students chose their start word to be " encouragement". They managed to use up all their letters to complete the crossword. This is a wonderful achievement.
Well done students!

The Ups and Downs of Uno Stack. A Short Movie Clip of Yr 3 players.

We all now know, how to play this game and it can be very exciting!

The year 3`s are playing UNO STACKO. They know the rules and they can problem solve to work out which block to remove and place on top next.
They have a lot of fun but know that someone will topple the stack. Who will it be?
The stack becomes very wobbly as it grows taller.
They are always surprised when the stack starts to fall and everyone laughs, screams out or jumps around when this starts to happen.
It is the way of the game.
All the children are good sports.
