Reading and thinking about water and at the beach.

Here are some books our Foundation students have been reading this term with a water or sea theme.
The mat was turned into a trip to the seashore by the students.
I loved the rock pool best as a student placed his version of a hermit crab in it.
Many of us read a wonderful short story about the Hermit Crab and then watched a video on how, when they grow bigger, they need to exchange their shells for bigger ones. When the biggest crab finds a new one, they all line up in size order and then pass their shell down to the next one. We saw five crabs lining up and exchanging their shells.
One group performed a drama explaining this process.
